Tension manifests itself in lots of different ways.

* Muscular tension * Ligament tension * Joint tension

Some ways are subtle and some ways are gross (where we feel pain and discomfort along with restriction in our movement).

* Organ tension * Digestive tension * Nervous system tension

Tension doesn't disappear by ignoring it or masking it with pain medicines.

* Emotional tension * Mental tension * Subconscious tension

Tension accumulates unless released.

* Connective tissue tension * Fascia tension

Think of tension as internal stored energy that isn't being used but is causing you pain.

* Spinal tension * Immune system tension
