Of all the therapies I've trained in since 2001, and practice daily, it's hard to choose a 'favourite one'.
It's a question I get asked regularly, "what's your favourite therapy"? I love all of them, and they're all my 'favourite' for lots of different reasons, yet each one has the same theme - wellness through intuitive touch. The Oriental Head Massage I love, firstly, because I used to teach it for a training company - Euro Products in Belfast and I know it inside out! I would train the therapists to carry out a Traditional Head Massage, not only seated whilst being full clothed, but on how to offer a more therapeutic treatment with the use of massage oil. Not only that, I love giving and receiving an Oriental Head Massage, the benefits are far reaching.
Here's a little secret!
Here's a little secret, I can do it with my eyes closed, which is what I often do. This is where the intuitive touch comes in. It's this intuitive touch that not only connects my energy with yours, it allows me to connect with your higher self and together we unwind your fascia, moving intuitively together as one. As a Reiki Master & Teacher I intuitively feel which upper chakras are blocked, causing your energy to become stuck, creating pain and which chakras are out of balance, which can affect your emotional wellbeing. "I had many a head massage whilst travelling in India one very cold December/January with a friend".
Narendra Mehta, the founder of Indian Champissage had a highly developed sense of touch due to being blind from a very early age. After travelling to India to research head massage he developed his own therapy of Champissage. Originally this was a traditional head massage that was practiced amongst Indian women as not only a way of maintaining social bonds but as a way of improving the condition of the scalp and the condition of the hair. Amongst the men, 'champi', from which the word shampoo is derived, was a regular part of their male grooming while at the barbers. This form of head massage can be seen in many public locations, in street markets, on the beach and in make shift barber 'rooms', that consisted of some kind of tarpaulin covering and often as not, a half broken mirror. I had many a head massage whilst travelling in India one very cold December/January with a friend I met at the Corrymeela Peace & Reconcilation Centre in Ballycastle, omitting the 'neck cracking', of course. The speed of their hands, the intensity of their tapotement, the beating, slapping, hacking, tapping and cupping was certainly a very unique experience. I have to say at that time there was quite a fascination with my then blonde hair! Book your experience today - https://bookwhen.com/troontherapies
We're a culture that, 'lives in our head' .
Originally used to improve scalp and hair condition Oriental Head Massage also focuses on the face with it's 15 acupressure points. Working on these precise points can stimulate the pituitary gland, the colon, the kidney, improve stomach problems, promote healthy bowel action, stimulate the spleen, the pancreas, the bowels and the lungs. It can also increase sexual desire, increase mental stimulation, purify the blood through the liver and lymphatic system and tones the sympathetic nervous system while stimulating the thyroid. Lastly it tones the entire body by working on the ears. Oriental Head Massage when carried out to it's fullest, is one serious massage with benefits that are far reaching. Given that we're a culture that, 'lives in our head' it's no wonder we suffer from tension headaches.
Our heads are covered in neurovascular reflex points and everything we do with our senses except touch, is active, engaged and based in the head. When we don't find a way to release accumulated energy in our heads, that energy gets stuck and causes all kinds of tension and stress. Massaging the head starts to release this built up tension and we become headache free. We begin to think clearly, we have mental 'space' and we feel good about ourselves. There is no need for all that tension. Book your experience today - https://bookwhen.com/troontherapies

"Neck tension is safely released".
As it's unsafe to forcefully stretch the neck in an Oriental Head Massage, neck tension is safely released through the magic of Myofascia Release. Myofascia Release, releases tightness that restricts your muscle and joint movement. Try turning your head to look over your shoulder, or drop your ear to your shoulder to identify and experience your muscular restrictions. Can you turn to look over your shoulder without having to turn your upper body? Does it feel stiff, awkward, or does it cause a pain between your shoulder blades? Not so comfortable is it?
How many new pillows have you bought to ease upper body discomfort?
Fascia is like a spiders web, connecting each part of your body, with unhindered fascia being flexible and stretchy. But when your body experiences any kind of trauma, whether through a fall or a car accident that results in whiplash, then it loses it's flexibility and becomes tightened and rigid. Restricted or repeated movement like your favourite side lying sleeping position can affect your fascia and cause tightness. How many new pillows have you bought to ease upper body discomfort?
