Energy Medicine Yoga addresses physical ailments in ways that are much more focused than a typical yoga practice. Many methods learnt are valuable for maintaining health and increasing vitality while valuable for overcoming illnesses.
From warm up to cool down energy medicine techniques are infused with time honoured yoga postures and if you are new to yoga, you will be taught a basic yoga routine. It's from this foundation you will start to build your daily or weekly practice. It literally takes two minutes to waken your energy and get it moving in the right direction.
Stagnant and congested energy paths, the main cause of your pain, tension and discomfort become cleared using techniques that work with reflex points. Energy needs to move, it wants to move but needs space to do so. Yoga as a practice stretches you mentally and physically making space for your energies to move.

As a yoga teacher and bodyworker with over 20 years experience I'm aware that different parts of the body holds memories or emotions that can be felt or released during a yoga practice. This is where our reflex points used in Energy Medicine can be applied if an unexpected memory or emotion arises. Through this practice, you learn to listen to your body and be the one to soothe it in a language that your body understands. When you experience health it's easier for your body to rebalance itself, but when the bodies energies have been stressed for too long, they start to stay in that unbalanced state and it becomes harder for the body to heal. Reiki is another healing modality that teaches us through consistent practice how to feel where there is excess energy, where the energy is congested and how to move and direct the energy. So too with Energy Medicine.
Your body is always trying to get back into balance - homeostasis.

The design of Energy Medicine is such that it teaches you to communicate with your body the way your body can understand. Bodily messages can appear via dreams, our intuition, through physical sensations, and our intuition. Speaking to the body through imagination, meditation, visualisation and physically through tapping, holding specific points, stretching and massage, is our capacity to harness our own life force, aligned with healing principles ready to be transformed for our highest good.
