Find comfort in your body with trusted bodywork techniques like Reflexology / Thai Yoga BodyWork / Reiki / Energy Healing / Deep Tissue / Swedish Massage / Myofascia Release and Embodied Yoga.

Bodywork is a therapeutic technique that involves working with the human body in a form involving manipulative therapy, movement, breath work and energy healing/medicine.

Bodyworkers are very knowledgeable about how your physical body holds stress at a cellular level, and can help you find the places in your body that may be 'holding' your physical pain, and past emotional pain that maybe inhibiting your progress. My preference for releasing past emotional pain is via energy Healing and/or Myofascia Release. Thai Yoga BodyWork is perfect if you need assistance or want to go a little deeper with a movement practice. Either of the types of massage are suitable if you prefer a subtle introduction to shifting the layers of tension and yoga is beneficial for mindful movement with meditation.

By all means take guidance in your therapy selection but trust your own instincts on how best to find comfort in your body. It needs to be at your pace. Your body is slower than your mind, it needs time and a compassionate approach. Bitesize steps that are led by an inner rhythm and individual pace with a trauma informed approach will create a safe and supportive space for healing to happen.

Big cathartic releases might be exhilerating but most of the time, the body and the nervous system can not integrate those changes. A needs led approach is what is needed in this moment of transistion to finding comfort in your body again.

The aim of a bodyworker is to assess / improve posture, and promote awareness of the bodymind connection. Building this awareness helps you release tension of which you might be unaware off. Your physical body holds emotions even when your conscious mind does not experience them as feelings. The human body and mind or a single integrated unit surrounded by an electromagnetic field which affects your health and wellbeing.

"Sometimes it takes someone elses hands on your body for you to even notice your tension".
