Troon Yoga

My therapeutic approach to Holistic Health and Wellbeing is very much informed by more than twenty years of experience as a BodyWorker, Intuitive Energy Healer and Embodied, Trauma Informed, Yoga Teacher.

What's new this month - https://www.troontherapiesyoga.com/post/happiness-invitation A good BodyMind Therapist can read a person's life history through the formation and shape of the body structure. They can read where the stories are stored; identify the places that are being held; assess your body's ability to move freely and identify areas of tension and constriction. As an Energy Healer and BodyWorker, my role was to support individuals, families and groups who had experienced high levels of stress, depression, anxiety and trauma. These individuals and groups of people responded well to therapeutic intervention and participated in weekend residential retreats, self-care workshops and community groups. Individual therapeutic sessions were also made available to them.  Supporting these specialist groups shaped my early vocation. Those work influences, combined with personal and environmental trauma exposure, lead me to become a Trauma Informed Therapist through the medium of BodyWork, Intuitive Energy Healing and Yoga. As my experience and intuition developed, so too has the frequency of healing, highlighting the trust placed in me. Read my link on how I began my journey into holistic health - https://www.troontherapiesyoga.com/post/beginnings I have a strong daily practice of self-care - flowing between meditation, breath awareness, focused listening, somatic movement, and intuitively self healing. A lot of these concepts I find in my practice of Energy Medicine Yoga. This really has been the cherry on the cake for me in terms of uniting my training and learning. These self-care practices use a body based approach. It's this type of approach I identify with, as I can dip into them effortlessly and they feel supportive. Individually and combined, these practices have become my life's essentials. It is in those spaces I rest and where I feel safe. Developing an embodied self-care self-love routine, all the while deepening my self-awareness and self-realisation, has enabled me to be compassionate towards myself. Consequently, it has increased the compassion that I can safely feel for others.  Formerly from Northern Ireland, I developed my private practice and became a freelance therapist working and travelling between several therapy rooms and a Health Farm, along our beautiful North Antrim Coast. I continued to host community groups around our province, with weekend residentials, offering intergrative health workshops, promoting the practice of self care and teaching holistic therapies for a Belfast company.  A new chapter began in both my work and personal life when I moved to Troon, Scotland and opened my Yoga Studio and Therapy Rooms, in 2017. We are currently celebrating 6 years of being here, in Troon since the opening of both my therapy room and yoga studio. One of the most popular questions I get asked is, "what's your favourite therapy"? Such a difficult question to ask but you can read why I've chosen this one - Oriental Head Massage and why I practice it with my eyes closed! Of all the therapies I've trained in since 2001, and practice daily, it's hard to choose a favourite one. It's a question I get asked regularly, "what's your favourite therapy"? I love all of them, and they're all my favourite for lots of different reasons, yet each one has the same theme - wellness through intuitive touch. The Oriental Head Massage I love, firstly, because I used to teach it for a training company - Euro Products in Belfast and I know it inside out! I would train the therapists to carry out a Traditional Head Massage, seated whilst being full clothed, and how to offer a more therapeutic treatment with the use of massage oil. Not only that, I love giving and receiving an Oriental Head Massage, the benefits are far reaching. Here's a little secret, I can do it with my eyes closed, which is what I often do. This is where the intuitive touch comes in. It's this intuitive touch that not only connects my energy with yours, it allows me to connect with your higher self and together we unwind your fascia, moving intuitively together as one. As a Reiki Master & Teacher I intuitively feel which upper chakras are blocked, causing your energy to become stuck, creating pain and which chakras are out of balance, which can affect your emotional wellbeing.
